DO NOT DELAY IN SETTLING DEBTS. There are instances where companies or people are hired to do a job and upon completion, they are not paid promptly for services rendered. Earlier this summer, my home was damaged during a period of inclement weather. I filed an insurance claim, and found a contracting company to complete repairs. What I didn’t know when I hired the contracting company was that the check I received from my insurance company had to be endorse by my mortgage loan servicer. This delayed the contractor’s pay by two weeks. While the company was very accommodating and understanding, I should have been better prepared to pay them upon completion of the work I hired them for. Leviticus 19:13 says, “Do not defraud or rob your neighbor. Do not hold back the wages of a hired worker overnight” (NIV). These words simply mean that we should people a fair wage and pay them promptly.
PAY FAIR AND EQUAL WAGE. Malachi 3:5 says, “So I will come to put you on trial. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive the foreigners among you of justice, but do not fear me,” says the Lord Almighty” (NIV). This scripture warns of not paying a proper wage for services rendered. Often times in the United States, there are companies who hire undocumented workers because they know that they can offer an unfair wage because of their undocumented status. What they don’t consider it that these people are working to support their families and provide better opportunities for them.
RECEIVE PAYMENT AND PROVIDE REFUNDS. For women who frequent the hair salons, think back to an unhappy customer. Have you ever seen a hairdresser argue with a dissatisfied customer? Did you feel that the right thing to do is reimburse the customer if they were not happy with the service they received? I think that in instances where a business’ reputation is on the line, it is better to refund the customer and make a decision on if you would provide service to them again. Zechariah 11:12-13 says, “”If it is good in your sight, give me my wages; but if not, never mind!” So they weighed out thirty shekels of silver as my wages. Then the LORD said to me, “Throw it to the potter, that magnificent price at which I was valued by them.” So I took the thirty shekels of silver and threw them to the potter in the house of the LORD” (NIV).

John 5:24, NIV: “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.” … He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.” This passage to me is equal to life insurance, Similar benefit that some companies provide to their team members, however the benefit is not paid to the surviving family member but to the follower ensuring that he will have eternal life.
Romans 4:4 (NIV) “Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation.” This passage states clearly that for a day’s labor a pay is due. Equal pay is a major issue in todays society the Bible is clear I believe that people should be pay for their work regardless of their Gender.
Jeremiah 33:6 “Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.” To me this verse is related to health insurance when I look for companies to work for benefits is a deal closer. Benefits can very from daycare, school assistance, retirement and health benefits. There are many companies that use this as a recruiting tool, for example The Founders INN offers free tuition at Regent University after been fulltime for a year. This might be attractive to many people however for me health plan and retirement is the biggest benefits that I search for in a company planning is my strength. I never know when I will get sick so I need to be cover and my retirement is something that I look forward to. Our Holy Father has so much to offer to us and our families however we need to act in faith knowing that all of our needs are going to be taking care of and all of our fears deal with. Mathew 6:26-34 explains that if he takes care of little animals at the same time He will also take care of us.
